1 Peter 2:24-Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.
When the eye sees, the whole body sees. Likewise when the ear hears the whole body hears. Therefore the first step to Life is the healing of the Spirit, soul and body. That’s being made whole (Wellness). Jesus is the resurrection and the Life, John 11:25, He came that we might have life and have it abundantly ( John 10:10). In order words Jesus came to heal us and made us whole. In fact this was done before the foundations of the earth. He has healed us already.1 Peter 2:24 says by his stripes you were healed. Glory to God, hallelujah. What we need now is revelation and understanding of the great work that has been done on our behalf. May God open our eyes so that we may truly see His work within us. All of God’s work are finished. We do not need God to do more works, but we need to have the revelation concerning the works that He has completed. God has planned and purposed that you be healed, and made whole even before you were born. He who comes to God must believe that He is; He never changes. Today we need revelation to understand the great work He has done on our behalf. That is why the apostle Paul prayed that God would grant us a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the full knowledge of His predetermined plan and accomplished works. Many people hope that God will make some new arrangements and do some new works in His plan. But the apostle showed us that God does not need to do this. He wanted us to see clearly that God already “is”. It is not a matter of wishing God’s plan to be this or that; God has already arranged everything, and we need to see what He has arranged. We do not need Him to do one more thing, we only need to see and accept what He has already done. Once we see that, we will have a fresh experience. We need a spirit of wisdom to understand His work, and we need a spirit of revelation to know what He has done. Then we will become useful persons in God’s eyes.
God’s Work
There are two parts of His work. The first part was done before the foundation of the world. The second part was done on the cross. One has to do with His eternal plan, which was made before the foundation of the world. The other has to do with the fall and failure of mankind, which was dealt with by His death on the cross. From the foundation of the world, man became a fallen being, and Satan entered in to damage God’s work. But thank the Lord that there is surpassing greatness of His power towards those who believe. There was the fall, but there was also redemption. There was death, but there was also resurrection. There was sickness and un-wholeness but the blood of the Lamp has brought healing and wholeness again. We can find God’s work completed through the cross and through resurrection. It is finished. You have been made “WELL”. God’s work is completed! All we need as believers is God’s revelation.Amen!
The Word and Healing
Psalm 107:20- He sent his word to heal us and deliver us from destruction. The word of God is our medicine. It has the sole ability to heal the spirit, soul and body.
Matthew 4:4 –Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word of God. God’s word is life to us. The word is food and medicine . No wonder Job said in Job 23:12 that he has esteemed the word of God more than his daily bread.
Prayer
May the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. May the eyes of your understanding be enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. Having put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. May the grace of God be with you. Selah!
